Well guys, this is it. I am officially quitting WoW.

Well .. quitting raiding is more like it. But I honestly don't know if I'll have motivation for dailies or anything if theres no raids, you know?

I'll be back for wrath, hopefully those blizzcon '07 beta keys are for Wrath! If I get in, I'll still be playing there. But as for right now .. I'm having major pre-expansion blues and as a result every little dumb thing my guild does is getting on my nerves in a huge way.

For example: last night was our first Illidan kill (hooray!) and the Cowl of the Illidari Highlord dropped. It was given to a shadow priest. A shadow priest over mages and destro locks, all of which needed on it. What the hell?
But I figure this is a good note to end it on. Our guild was getting increasingly worse due to the fact that our RL friends lead the guild, so no complaints could be brought up without personal offense being taken. So all flaws in leadership were pretty much dealth with while grinning through our teeth. It was bad.

But I'm glad I can say I killed Illidan. To me, I've still beaten the game. Our guild was (or is?) so far off from Sunwell I doubt we'd have seen it before the pre-expansion blues spread to all our raiders.

So good luck, ladies! I'm out for a few months!

Title: Peaceful Rise

Whilst painfully waiting for the finale I drew these. Its Azula, Toph, Katara and Suki with a twist to their outfits. After watching the finale I'm struggeling not to give into the temptation of drawing more avatar stuff right now XD

I don't know about anyone else but music is a huge chunk of my life and day so it's hard if not impossible to relate it to things I love (i.e. AtLB) and vice versa.  So tell me...are there any songs (aside from what's on the series' score) in either lyrics and/or music that reminds you of Avatar or anything along those lines?  Or even reminds you of/relates to the 'ships that didn't happen but you wanted them to?

My main is a level 70 elemental shammy. She's got great gear, good gems, and I know how to play her well. Recently, I've noticed my dps has dropped significantly during raids. I'm using flasks of blinding light, blackened basilisk, superior wizard oil, popping trinkets as often as I can, along with drums of battle. I use Mana Totem, Stoneskin, Wrath or Air and Totem of Wrath totems at all times.

Be.Imba.Hu says I'm low in spell hit, I have a 94 hit rating. Before I replaced one +5 spell hit gem with +12 spl dmg it said I was in top shape.

My character is Jehnnifer on Eonar if anyone wants to Imba or Armory me. I need to figure out what I'm doing that is putting me 12-15th in 25 man raids and get back into the top 10 where I belong.

Also - I've checked my internet connection, and adjusted all my video settings for top performance. My latency in SSC last night averaged around 180, and my fps averaged around 20.

If anyone has any advice, I'd love to hear it. Do I need more spell damage? Should I sacrifice damage and gem for crit? I'm clearly missing the boat somewhere.

Ok, so I hadn't played in about a week 'cause of work and such, but I popped on last night for Zul'Aman with my guild (and of course to get my new cutie Nether Ray Fry. <3 pets). The raid fell apart, as do most of my guild's raids these days. We had another (yes, another) mass exodus of people who ran off to start a new guild a few weeks ago and honestly I believe our guild leadership has given up a little. We're definately recruiting, but we've gone from 3/4 TK, 2/6 SSC and one Hyjal boss back to...well, having trouble with HKM. It's a lilttle depressing.

Anyway, so I head back to Shatt for some dailies and pvp when a guild leader friend of mine whispers me with an invite to....wait for it...

Black Temple.

Now you have to understand - and you probably do based on my guild description above - that I never thought I would see a serious try on the inside of the place before the level 80 cap in the expansion. And really, I figured if they had to pug people (only two pugged members, but still), it might not be a serious try. But hell, it's a chance to see the place so I went for it.

 So my lovely pally just dinged 38 15 minutes ago.  I love playing her (unless I have to deal with those damn frost novaing cobolds in Arathi highlands) and I adore tanking with her, cause once she get aggro, pulling it off her is very very difficult. and the fact that i can heal in a pinch, just cinches it.

However, I'm having some troubles with her gear and trying to juggle her stats.  She's currently wearing 4 pieces of scarlet crusade (sance boots and chest, though her gloves are probably going to be replaced with http://www.wowwiki.com/Gauntlets_of_Divinity ), raging berserker's helm, herod's shoulder (yeah I took her to SM a lot, lol), deathchill armor, and barbaric boots that I made for her.
the question is though if I shoudl replace them with http://www.wowwiki.com/Golden_Scale_Boots, or just wait for a plate upgrade?  and speaking of which - she's currently a blacksmith and I'm hoarding ore to speed-train her in engineering when she hits lvl 69 for her tanking googles and other goodies (my husband's main is a 375 miner, so future mats will not be a problem, but I'd still rather get most of the ore before switching professions).  Are there any recipes that I should keep a look out for? Also I can't decide if i should pick armorsmithing or weaponsmithing.  I think I'm leaning towards armor, but i woudl love some input.

also - I've never actualy finished the questline that rewards you with a 2 handed polearm at lvl 20 (I just got my "sence undead" and then stopped), but now I'm wondering if I actualy have to finish that questline to be eligibile for future pally quests, or can I just skip it?

So, the other day I decided to make an icon of my paladin.  I've been RPing with her a little bit, and over the course of things it has occurred to me that she most likely no longer looks flawless and clean.  She's a tank, she is most likely bruised and battered, and probably dirty.  She has been out in relatively magic-starved environments. 

So I figured I'd photoshop some stuff in.  Hardly amazing, but the result was very interesting ...

Finally, it is done, the tale is told.
I've fought the urge to go and answer some crits people may have with the finale. It is not my place, and it would just escalate in a war of opinions. No stories are perfect, but if overall it's been fun and you want to see it again, then it's all win.
There are things I would have done differently, there are edits that were done that overjoyed me. It all balanced out.
So much love for the Zuko, Azula fight- bravo Dean for a wonderfully boarded sequence, and the music..ah the music during that fight! I WANT A %&#@ SOUNDTRACK SO BAD!!
Did I like the finale? Was I satisfied with it? Yes on both.

And at last, I can claim loudly my love for Actor!Ozai and his theatrical overacting. Love love love!

Now that Avatar is done, I can continue with part 4 of Water Tribe. Woohoo! It's been a while since I posted anything about it. Need a refresher? You can always start reading part four from the beginning again here:

I didn't read the Sozin's Comet book, so I have a question for those who have. Was there anything different between the book and the tv version of the finale? Anything mentioned in the book that wasn't noted in the aired version?
